Covering five periods in Canada’s history, MosaiCanada150 takes visitors on a one-kilometre tour of the nation. Discover the amazing works, representing nature, history, and culture. From historical figures to symbols from First Nations legends and folklore, these works make up the collective identity of our great nation. Above all, it is a free event. It is held at Parc Jacques-Cartier in Gatineau from June 30 to October 15, 2017.
The circus comes to town
World-renowned Cirque du Soleil is rolling into town and presenting a series of shows from August 3 to 27, 2017. And this year’s show promises to be an awe-inspiring performance! VOLTA tells a spellbinding story about the freedom to choose and the thrill of blazing your own trail. Inspired by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of action sports, the show weaves acrobatics with a melodic score. And if cycling is your thing, Gatineau offers close to 300 kilometres of bike trails and paths. You can bike the trails or parkway in Gatineau Park and take in the beautiful views of the Ottawa Valley. Or you can also explore the TransCanada Trail or the Route Verte with its many lookout points. Seeing the Outaouais on two wheels is a great way to experience the area.
