As summer finally rolls into town, you may be looking for ways to keep the kids busy. The longer days mean more time for fun, and the Outaouais area offers a host of summer activities for the whole family. Here are a few of our favourites:

MosaiCanada150

Celebrating the art of mosaiculture and paying tribute to 150 years of Canadian history! This spectacular horticultural celebration brings together Canada’s 10 provinces, 3 territories and the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador with 33 unique works. Covering five periods in Canada’s history, MosaiCanada150 takes visitors on a one-kilometre tour of the nation. Discover the amazing works, representing nature, history, and culture. From historical figures to symbols from First Nations legends and folklore, these works make up the collective identity of our great nation. Above all, it is a free event. It is held at Parc Jacques-Cartier in Gatineau from June 30 to October 15, 2017.

The circus comes to town

World-renowned Cirque du Soleil is rolling into town and presenting a series of shows from August 3 to 27, 2017. And this year’s show promises to be an awe-inspiring performance! VOLTA tells a spellbinding story about the freedom to choose and the thrill of blazing your own trail. Inspired by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of action sports, the show weaves acrobatics with a melodic score. Under the Big Top on the Zibi Site, this is a show you will not want to miss!
